Creating Your Own Wedding Picture (Colors)

Questions about colors and styles and how they fit together with each other are always a concern to couples. There is no one set of rules to go by any more. Dark colors are used in the summer as much as light colors. Light colors are sometimes used late into the fall and even during the winter months. Once certain styles of tuxedos were only worn at certain times of the day or evening. Now, all styles of tuxedos are acceptable at Myrtle Beach area weddings regardless of the time of the ceremony. Some brides are now having each bridesmaid wear a different dress, instead of dressing them all in identical attire. Sometimes the bride may indicate a preference in color but allow each bridesmaid the freedom to exercise her own personal taste in style so she can wear the dress again to many functions.

You have probably attended or heard about several weddings where the bridal party and all the immediate family members were dressed in the same color. I remember my aunts wedding when I was just a little girl and all the female relatives were dressed in a dark blue because it was my aunts favorite color. My aunts wedding dress was even a light colored blue. I can recall a wedding where the entire wedding party dressed in white except for the bride who wore a dress of soft pink tones.

A trend that has become popular for Myrtle Beach weddings is to have the bridesmaids attire made of cotton fabric. Cotton is a comfortable fabric to wear because it is a natural fiber that allows the body to breathe. A print dress can be dressed up for the wedding with a fluffy petticoat or slip and hair combs of matching fabric. When the slip and hair combs are removed, the dress can be put to more use in everyday situations than satin and taffeta materials that is traditionally used for the dresses. Sometimes cotton print dresses with large, bold-colored flowers can even be used to complement very formal satin and silk wedding dresses.

If a combination looks good to you and seems to go together, do not hesitate to use it for your Myrtle Beach wedding just because it has not been done before. Couples should enjoy the freedom of designing and decorating their wedding along the Grand Strand in much the same way they will decorate the rooms of their home. Today it is a matter of personal choice more than anything else.
